On the outskirts of Helensburgh is Craigendoran.

Its the remnants of an old harbour where coal, goods and people would come into and out of Helensburgh and onto the River Clyde.

When the railway line arrived in Helensburgh at the turn of the last century, bringing the merchants, the people and the goods into the town, the pier was no longer needed and it started to fall into disrepair. And like many casualties of progress, became a relic of a bygone age.
